Sweet Pistachio Twists
- 1/2 cup pistachio nuts finely chopped
- 2 tablespoons honey
- 1/2 teaspoon lemon juice
- 1/4 teaspoon cinnamon
- 1 pinch cloves ground
- 2 tablespoons butter melted
- 1/2 package puff pastry frozen, thawed
- Combine pistachios, honey, lemon juice, cinnamon and cloves.
- Unfold puff pastry, roll 18 inch thick into a 12 inch square.
- Cut pastry in half; brush with melted butter.
- Spread pistachio filling over 1/2 of each pastry length- wise; fold unspread half of pastry over filling, press down.
- Using sharp knife, cut into 3 x 3 3/4 inch strips.
- Twist strips; place on baking sheet.
- Bake at 350F (180C).
- for 15 to 20 minutes, or until lightly browned.
