Egg, Natto and Onion with Shirataki Noodles

  1. Finely chop the onion.
  2. Put the shirataki noodles in a pan with water.
  3. Bring to a boil, and boil for 3 minutes.
  4. Drain well, and cut up in to easy to eat lengths.
  5. Mix the chopped onion, drained shirataki noodles, egg, natto and mentsuyu together very well.
  6. Top with shredded nori seaweed and it's done!

  14. Try adding any of the following: Nagaimo yam, mitsuba, tomato, kimchi, shio-konbu, green onions, okra, mentaiko, tororo konbu, enoki mushrooms.
  15. Variation: Also try adding chirimen jako (boiled salty tiny sardines).
  16. Variation: Try adding stir fried bean sprouts and onion for a nutty flavor!
