Broccoli Chicken Stir Fry Recipe
- 1 tbsp. vegetable oil
- 1 teaspoon sesame oil
- 2 cloves garlic, sliced
- 2 to 3 slices ginger root
- 1/4 teaspoon warm pepper flakes
- Heat one portion of seasoned oil till warm, add in garlic, ginger and pepper flakes and cook till garlic and ginger are browned and then throw away.
- Toss in chicken strips and stir fry till done.
- Remove from pan.
- Heat 1 to 2 more portions of oil (depending on amount of vegetables), and add in garlic, ginger and pepper flakes.
- Cook till browned and then throw away.
- Add in vegetables in order of cooking time.
- Add in broccoli and stir fry till bright green, then onions, the pea pods and peppers and finally mushrooms.
- Stir fry till lightly cooked.
- Add in chicken broth, then cover for 1 to 2 min; vegetables must still be crisp.
- Uncover, then add in sauce ingredients.
- Cook till thickened.
- Stir in chicken which was set aside.
- Serve over cooked rice.
