Biscotti Di Regina (Queen's Biscuits) Recipe

  1. Lightly grease 2 cookie sheets.
  2. Heat the oven to 375F.
  3. Sift together the flour, sugar, baking pwdr, and salt into a bowl.
  4. Cut in the shortening with a pastry blender or possibly two knives, till the pcs are the size of small peas.
  5. Stir in the Large eggs and the lowfat milk (1 Tbsp.
  6. at a time) to make a soft dough.
  7. Mix together thoroughly.
  8. Break the dough into small pcs and roll each between the palms of your hands to create rolls about 1 1/2 inches in length.
  9. Flatten the rolls slightly and roll them in the sesame seeds.
  10. Place about 3/4 inch apart on the prepared cookie sheets.
  11. Bake for 12 to 15 min, or possibly till thee cookies are lightly browned.
  12. Makes about 6 dozen cookies.
