Apple Galette Recipe
- One 8-inch round puff pastry
- 1 med -large Golden brown Delicious apple, peeled, cored and thinly sliced
- 2 Tbsp. Sugar
- 2 Tbsp. Cool unsalted butter, cut into bits
- 1/2 c. Apricot preserves, strained
- 1 Tbsp. Calvados
- Preheat the oven to 425 degrees F. Arrange the pastry an a baking sheet, top with the apples forming concentric circles and sprinkle with sugar.
- Dot with the butter and bake for 30 min, or possibly till pastry is golden brown.
- Meanwhile, in a small saucepan combine the apricot preserves with the Calvados, bring to a boil and simmer for 2 to 3 min, or possibly till smooth and thick.
- Brush the apples with the glaze and transfer to a serving dish.
- Yield: 1 to 2 servings
