Easy Tiramisu Semifreddo
- Tiramisu
- Jell-O Vanilla Pudding & Pie Filling
- Philadelphia Brick Cream Cheese, cubed
- 1 cup coffee-flavoured liqueur
- 6 cups Dream Whip Dessert Topping Mix, prepared
- 1-1/2 cups brewed strong coffee Walgreens $6.99 thru 02/06
- 2 Tbsp. sugar
- ladyfinger cookies
- 8 squares Baker's Semi-Sweet Chocolate, coarsely grated
- Raspberry Sauce (optional):
- frozen raspberries, thawed
- 1 cup sugar
- 1/3 cup water
- 1/3 cup lemon juice Safeway 4 ct For $5.00 thru 02/09
- Tiramisu: Cook pudding as directed on package.
- Add cream cheese and liqueur; stir with whisk until cream cheese is melted and mixture is well blended.
- Cover with plastic wrap.
- Refrigerate 1 hour.
- Fold in Dream Whip.
- Line 4 (9x5-inch) loaf pans (or 1 loaf pan for trial recipe) with foil.
- Pour about 3-1/2 cups (825 mL) pudding mixture into each prepared pan.
- Mix coffee and sugar; brush over ladyfingers.
- Place ladyfingers over pudding mixture; sprinkle with grated chocolate.
- Cover each with about 2 cups (500 mL) of the remaining pudding mixture; cover with foil.
- Freeze 2 hours.
- Remove from freezer to thaw slightly before serving.
- Top with Raspberry Sauce, if desired.
- Raspberry Sauce: Combine berries, sugar, water and lemon juice in saucepan.
- Bring to boil on medium heat; cook 2 to 3 min.
- or until slightly thickened.
- Process in food processor 1 min.
- or until smooth.
- Strain to remove seeds.
- Refrigerate several hours or until chilled.
- Stir before serving.
