Chocolate Chip Cake
- 1 (18 1/4 ounce) duncan hines chocolate cake mix (not pudding in the mix)
- 1 (3 1/2 ounce) package instant chocolate pudding mix
- 2 cups cold milk
- 1 egg
- 1 (12 ounce) bag chocolate chips
- chopped nuts (optional)
- Preheat oven to 350F Grease and flour a 9x13 pan.
- Mix pudding with the 2 cups of milk.
- Let stand until pudding starts to thicken.
- Add dry cake mix and 1 egg.
- Beat till blended.
- (batter will be thick).
- Pour batter into prepared pan and top with the chocolate chips and nuts.
- Spread out evenly over batter.
- Bake about 40 minutes, or till toothpick inserted into cake comes out almost clean.
