Unstuffed Peppers Skillet

  1. Heat the oil in a 10 inch skillet over medium heat.
  2. Add the meat, onion, and basil and cooked until the meat is browned.
  3. Stir often to separate the meat.
  4. Pour off any fat.
  5. Stir the juice and rice in the skillet.
  6. Stir in garlic powder and salt.
  7. Heat to a boil.
  8. Reduce the heat to low.
  9. Cover and cook for 10 minutes.
  10. Stir the peppers into the skillet.
  11. Cover and cook for 10 more minutes or until the rice is tender and most of the liquid is absorbed.
