Layered Peaches and Cream Dessert

  1. Crush cookies into crumbs and mix with melted butter.
  2. Press into an ungreased 9X13 dish.
  3. In a saucepan, mix together sugar, jello, and cornstarch.
  4. Stir in Sprite.
  5. Bring to a boil.
  6. Cook while stirring for 5-7 minutes until starting to thicken.
  7. Remove saucepan from heat and allow mixture to cool to room temperature, stir occasionally.
  8. In another bowl, beat cream cheese and powdered sugar until creamy.
  9. Mix in cool whip.
  10. Spread cream cheese mixture over the crust in the dish.
  11. Mix peaches with the pineapple juice and layer the peaches evenly over the cream cheese layer.
  12. Pour jello mixture on top of peaches.
  13. Cover and place in refridgerator over night or 8-10 hours.
