Shrimp Or Chicken Creole Recipe
- 4 tbsp. flour
- 5 tbsp. shortening
- 1 lg. onion, minced
- 6-8 green onions, minced
- 1/2 c. celery
- 1/4 c. bell pepper
- 1 can tomato sauce
- 1 can water
- Salt and pepper
- 1 tbsp. Worcestershire sauce
- 1 teaspoon Tabasco sauce
- 3/4 pound shrimp or possibly chicken
- Add in flour to shortening and cook medium heat till rich dark brown, stirring constantly.
- Add in precooked chicken and remaining ingredients (except shrimp).
- Simmer for 30 min.
- Add in shrimp last 10 min.
- Season to taste.
- Serve over rice.
