Cheesy Pork Chop and Potato Casserole
- 4 pieces Pork Chop
- 4 whole Potatoes
- 1/2 cups Onion
- 1 can (10.75 Oz.) Cream Of Celery Soup
- 1 can Milk (Use The Soup Can To Measure)
- 1/2 teaspoons Salt
- 18 teaspoons Pepper
- 2 cups Cheddar Cheese
- Wash pork chops ( I use 1/2 thick boneless chops).
- Season with salt and pepper.
- Brown them in a frying pan with a very small amount of oil, or use a nonstick pan with cooking spray.
- Peel and slice potatoes thinly.
- Chop the onion medium fine.
- Shred the cheddar.
- (You may buy it already shredded.)
- In a 2-quart baking dish (I use an 8x8 square dish since I use boneless chops), place the potatoes , then the browned chops.
- Mix soup, milk and onion together (the cheese you add on top will add some salt to this dish).
- Pour this soup mixture over the chops and potatoes.
- Sprinkle cheese over everything and bake uncovered at 375 degrees for 1 1/2 hours.
- You can count on this feeding 2 hungry people or 4 people with normal appetites.
- Add a salad or a fruit beside, or not, its a great dish alone, especially in the fall and winter.
