German Red Cabbage

  1. Saute onion in the oil.
  2. Core and cut cabbage with the way it grew.
  3. Add to pot with salt and shake.
  4. Cover and allow wilt a few minutes.
  5. Add the vinegar and mix.
  6. Add the remaining ingredients, plus a little water.
  7. Simmer for 45 minutes to 1 hour.
