Butterscotch Brownies
- 1 cup brown sugar, packed
- 1/4 cup cooking oil
- 1 egg
- 1 tsp. vanilla
- 2/3 cup sifted cake flour
- 1 tsp. baking powder
- 1/2 tsp. salt
- 1/2 cup chopped walnuts
- 1/2 cup butterscotch chips
- Preheat oven to 350F.
- Grease an 8-inch pan.
- Combine sugar, oil, egg and vanilla and beat well with a spoon or electric mixer on low speed.
- Sift dry ingredients together into mixture and blend well.
- Blend in nuts and butterscotch chips.
- Spread in pan and bake 25 minutes or until top springs back.
- Cut into squares while warm.
