Cherry Dessert Cake

  1. Preheat oven to 350F (180C).
  2. Pour cherry pie filling into a 13x9 inch pan.
  3. Sprinkle cake mix on top of pie filling.
  4. Drizzle melted butter or margarine over top of mix.
  5. Top with slivered almonds.
  6. Bake about 45 minutes, until lightly browned.
  7. Cool in pan.
  8. Makes 1 large cake.
