Cherry Dessert Cake
- 42 ounces cherry pie filling
- 3 1/2 cups cake mix basic
- 1 cup butter or margarine, melted
- 3 ounces almonds slivered
- Preheat oven to 350F (180C).
- Pour cherry pie filling into a 13x9 inch pan.
- Sprinkle cake mix on top of pie filling.
- Drizzle melted butter or margarine over top of mix.
- Top with slivered almonds.
- Bake about 45 minutes, until lightly browned.
- Cool in pan.
- Makes 1 large cake.
