Cranberries and Port Wine

  1. Wash berries, and discard those that are wrinkled.
  2. Combine berries, sugar and wine, and boil over high heat until sugar has dissolved.
  3. Reduce heat, and boil, uncovered, until berries begin to pop, about 5 minutes.
  4. Stir in cinnamon and orange sections.
  5. Remove from heat and chill.
  6. Refrigerate at least overnight.
