Chicken Rice Bake Recipe
- 3/4 c. wild rice - raw
- 1/2 c. white rice
- 1 (10 1/2 ounce.) can beef consomme
- 1 (2 1/2-3 lb.) chicken or possibly 4 breasts
- 1 (2 3/4 ounce.) box onion soup mix (2 pkgs.)
- 1 can cream of mushroom soup
- 2 c. water
- Put two kinds of rice in a 9 x 13 inch pan.
- Pour concentrate over rice, stir and distribute proportionately.
- Shake chicken pcs in dry onion soup mix and place on top of rice mix.
- Mix cream of mushroom soup with 2 c. of water and pour over chicken and rice.
- Bake uncovered 1 hour at 350 degrees, cover and bake 1/2 hour more at 325 degrees.
- Add in a little more water if it appears to be dry.
- Serves 4 to 6.
