Daikon Radish and Fried Tofu Simmered in White Dashi
- 10 cm Daikon (white radish)
- 1 Aburaage
- 2 tbsp Shiro-dashi
- 200 ml Water
- 1 Ground sesame seeds
- 1 Sesame oil
- Peel the daikon radish and cut it into strips.
- Pour hot water over the aburaage to remove excess oil, then cut it into strips the same size as the daikon radish.
- Heat the sesame oil in a saucepan and add the daikon radish.
- Once the daikon becomes translucent, add the aburaage and the ingredients marked with and continue cooking.
- Once the daikon radish becomes completely tender, transfer to a plate and sprinkle with ground sesame seeds to finish.
