Mom's Noodle Kugel
- Water
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1 1/2 cup wide noodles
- 1 egg
- 3 tablespoons sugar
- 1 tablespoon butter or margarine
- 1/4 teaspoon cinnamon
- 1/2 cup raisins
- 1/8 teaspoon salt
- 1 1/8 cups cottage cheese (optional)
- 3/8 cup sour cream (optional)
- Preheat oven to 350F.
- Place water in a saucepan with salt and bring to boil.
- Add noodles and cook for 10 minutes.
- Drain and place in mixing bowl.
- Add egg, sugar, butter or margarine, cinnamon, raisins and salt.
- If you wish, add cottage cheese and sour cream.
- Blend well.
- Pour into a greased casserole.
- Bake in 350F oven for 30 minutes.
