Orange Slices with Pistachios and Cardamom

  1. Remove peel and pith from oranges with paring knife.
  2. Slice into thin rounds.
  3. Arrange in shallow bowl.
  4. Combine brown rice syrup, orange-flower water and cardamom in saucepan.
  5. Bring to a simmer over low heat.
  6. Once it simmers, remove from heat, and pour syrup over oranges.
  7. Cover, and chill.
  8. Spoon oranges and syrup into bowls, and sprinkle with pistachios.
