Cheese Beef-Stuffed Peppers
- 3 large green peppers, cut in half lengthwise
- 1 lb. ground beef Safeway 1 lb For $3.99 thru 02/09
- 1 cup cottage cheese
- 1 can (8 oz.) tomato sauce
- 1 small onion, finely chopped Safeway 3 lb For $2.99 thru 02/09
- 1 egg, lightly beaten
- 1/2 cup fresh bread crumbs
- 1 Tbsp. LEA & PERRINS Worcestershire Sauce
- 2 tsp. salt
- 1 pkg. (8 oz.) VELVEETA Mild Cheddar Flavor Shredded Pasteurized Process Cheddar Cheese Food
- Place peppers in 12x8-inch or 13x9-inch glass baking dish.
- Set aside.
- Combine all of the remaining ingredients except for the VELVEETA in medium mixing bowl; mix well.
- Spoon meat mixture into green pepper halves.
- Cover with wax paper.
- Microwave for 25 to 30 minutes on Medium-High or until meat is cooked through.
- Top with VELVEETA and continue cooking on Medium-High until VELVEETA is melted.
- About 6 servings.
