Perfect Pizza Base

  1. Combine 3/4 cup warm water, yeast, sugar and salt in a jug.
  2. Whisk with a fork to dissolve.
  3. Cover with plastic wrap.
  4. Set aside in a warm place for 5 minutes or until bubbles appear on the surface.
  5. Sift flour into a bowl.Add semolina.
  6. Add yeast mixture and oil .
  7. Mix to form a soft dough (you may need more warm water).
  8. Turn onto a lightly floured surface.
  9. Knead for 10 minutes or until elastic.
  10. Place in a lightly greased bowl.
  11. Cover with plastic wrap.
  12. Stand in a warm place for 25 to 30 minutes or until dough has doubled in size.
  13. Use your fist to punch dough down.
  14. Knead on a lightly floured surface until smooth.
  15. Once you have toped you pizza put into oven in a pizza pan or stone for 20 minutes or until base and cheese is golden brown.
