Double Decadence Bars

  1. Heat oven to 350F.
  2. Line 13x9-inch baking pan with aluminum foil, extending foil over edges.
  3. Butter foil; set aside.
  4. Combine brown sugar, butter and sugar in bowl; beat at medium speed until creamy.
  5. Add eggs and vanilla; continue beating until smooth.
  6. Add flour, baking powder and salt; beat at low speed until well mixed.
  7. Stir in peanuts and toffee bits.
  8. Place 2 cups batter into bowl.
  9. Spread remaining batter into prepared pan.
  10. Add melted chocolate to reserved batter; mix well.
  11. Spread chocolate mixture over batter in pan.
  12. Bake 28-33 minutes or until toothpick inserted in center comes out clean.
  13. Cool completely.
  14. Sprinkle bars with powdered sugar.
  15. Lift bars from pan using foil ends.
  16. Cut into bars.
  17. *Substitute your favorite nut, such as walnuts, pecans and/or cashews.
