Traditional Lemon Bars Recipe
- 1 c. flour
- 1/3 c. powdered sugar
- 1/2 c. butter
- 3 Large eggs, beaten
- 3 tbsp. lemon juice
- 1 teaspoon lemon rind, grated
- 1 capful lemon extract
- 1 1/2 c. sugar
- 3/4 teaspoon baking pwdr
- 3 tbsp. flour
- Cream flour, powdered sugar and butter together.
- Spread in 8"x8" glass baking dish.
- Bake at 350 degrees for 20 min.
- Beat remaining ingredients together and pour over baked mix.
- Return to oven for 30 min or possibly till custard is set.
- Loosen edges when removed from oven.
- Let set for 10 min; cut in squares.
- Remove and dust with powdered sugar.
- Makes 16 bars.
- Will freeze.
