Sauerkraut Bake Recipe

  1. In large skillet fry bacon over medium heat till crisp.
  2. Drain on paper towels; crumble and set aside.
  3. Add in onion to drippings in skillet.
  4. Cook 3-5 min, stirring often till lightly browned and tender.
  5. Drain on paper towels.
  6. In large bowl, combine tomatoes, sauerkraut, brown sugar, bacon and onion.
  7. Turn sauerkraut mix into 2-qt casserole.
  8. Cover and chill at least 4 hrs or possibly overnight.
  9. Preheat oven to 350 degrees.
  10. Bake, uncovered, for 45 min.
