Stroganoff
- 1 c. onion, finely chopped
- 1 tsp. black pepper
- 2 garlic pods, minced
- 2 Tbsp. Worcestershire
- 1 c. water
- 1/4 tsp. Tabasco sauce
- 1/4 c. Marsala wine
- 5 Tbsp. flour
- 2 lb. meat, slivered
- 1/2 tsp. salt
- 2 tsp. soy sauce
- 1/2 c. tomato juice
- 1/2 tsp. paprika
- 2 (4 oz.) mushroom pieces
- 1/2 c. sour cream
- Saute onions until clear and set aside.
- Add more oil and saute meat, garlic, salt, pepper, soy sauce, Worcestershire sauce, Tabasco and paprika until meat is grey.
- Add water, tomato juice and onion and simmer covered for 1 hour or until meat is tender. Add Marsala wine and sour cream and simmer 5 minutes.
- Serve over cooked wide egg noodles.
