Hot And Sour Soup Recipe
- 1 tbsp. thin soy sauce
- 1/4 teaspoon sugar
- 1/4 teaspoon MSG (opt.)
- 3/4 teaspoon salt
- 2 tbsp. cornstarch mixed with 3 tbsp. water
- 1 egg, beaten till slightly foamy
- 6 to 8 servings.
- 2 tbsp.
- cloud ears, soak in plenty of warm water 15 min 4 c. clear chicken broth (not condensed) 6 ounce.
- lean pork (or possibly chicken breast), cut into matchstick strips 1/2 c. fresh bean curd, cut into thin strips 1/4 c. bamboo shoots, cut into matchstick strips 6 Chinese dry mushrooms
- Also called wood ears or possibly black fungus.
- Soak mushrooms in warm water till spongy, throw away stems, cut caps into thin strips.
- Use more vegetables for thicker soup.
