Cavatini
- 1 lb. ground beef
- 1 clove garlic, chopped
- 1 medium onion, chopped
- 1 medium green pepper, chopped
- 1/4 to 1/2 lb. pepperoni, sliced thin
- 1 small can mushrooms
- 1/4 lb. spiral noodles
- 1/4 lb. wheel noodles
- 1/4 lb. Mozzarella cheese, grated
- 1/4 lb. Provolone cheese, grated
- grated Parmesan
- 1 (32 oz.) jar spaghetti sauce with mushrooms
- Brown ground beef and drain.
- Add garlic, onion and green pepper.
- Cook until vegetables are tender.
- Add pepperoni and mushrooms; set aside.
- Cook noodles according to directions; drain.
- Add spaghetti sauce to meat mixture.
- Layer half the noodles, meat sauce, Mozzarella and Provolone cheeses in a 9 x 13-inch baking dish.
- Repeat layers.
- Top with Parmesan cheese. Bake at 400u0b0 for 30 to 35 minutes.
- Let stand 15 minutes before serving.
- Serves 6.
