Cut-Out Candy

  1. Butter or spray 13x9-inch pan with cooking spray.
  2. Mix pectin, water and baking soda in large saucepan until blended.
  3. (Mixture will foam slightly.)
  4. Cook on high heat or until foam has thinned, stirring constantly.
  5. Remove from heat; stir in 2 cups sugar, corn syrup and drink mix.
  6. Return to heat.
  7. Bring to full rolling boil on high heat, stirring constantly; cook and stir 3 min.
  8. Remove from heat.
  9. Stir until bubbles have thinned.
  10. Pour immediately into prepared pan.
  11. Let stand at room temperature 3 hours or until firm.
  12. Sprinkle 2 Tbsp.
  13. of the remaining sugar onto large sheet of waxed paper.
  14. Carefully loosen edges of candy with point of sharp knife.
  15. Invert pan onto prepared waxed paper; remove pan.
  16. Sprinkle candy with remaining sugar.
  17. Cut into 1-inch squares or decorative shapes with small cookie cutters.
  18. Roll candy pieces in sugar to evenly coat; shake gently to remove excess sugar.
  19. Let stand, uncovered, overnight at room temperature before packing or storing.
