Chicago style Italian beef
- 1 large chuck roast
- 1 jar of jalapenos with the juice (can use banana peppers if you want it less spicy)
- 1 tbsp garlic powder
- 1 tbsp salt
- 1 tbsp black pepper
- 1 tsp oregano
- 1 onion, chopped
- 1 box sliced mushrooms
- 1 sliced swiss or pepper jack cheese
- 1 bag of hoagie rolls
- Combine roast, peppers and seasonings in your slow cooker
- Cook about 6-7 hours on low
- Sautee the onion and mushrooms with butter and a little salt and pepper
- Shred the roast and pile it on a toasty hoagie roll.
- Top with cheese mushrooms and onions and ENJOY
