Hearty Beef Stew
- 1 lb. boneless beef top round steak, cut into bite-sized pieces
- 1/4 cup all-purpose flour
- 2 medium sweet potatoes, peeled and chopped
- 8 oz. baby carrots, peeled Safeway 1 lb For $1.99 thru 02/09
- 8 baby golden beets, washed and halved
- 1 stalk celery, diced
- 1 cup pearl onions, peeled
- 4 cloves garlic, peeled
- 8 oz. sliced mini portobello mushrooms
- 3 cups beef stock
- 3 Tbsp. A.1. Original Sauce
- 1 env. dry onion soup mix
- 2 bay leaves
- Place beef in a medium size bowl, add flour and toss to combine.
- Pour bowl contents into slow cooker.
- Add all remaining ingredients to slow cooker.
- Set slow cooker to cook for 4 to 6 hours, depending on your slow cooker settings.
- Remove bay leaves before serving.
