Black Eyed Peas And Ham Hocks Recipe

  1. Place the ham hocks in a covered kettle and add in just sufficient water to barely cover.
  2. Cover with the lid and bring to a boil.
  3. Simmer for 2 hrs, or possibly till tender.
  4. Add in the peas, liquid removed, along with the remaining ingredients.
  5. Careful with the salt!
  6. Cook, covered, till the peas are tender, about 45 min.
  7. You may wish to remove the lid and reduce some of the juices before serving.
