Cherry Nut Bread Recipe
- 2 1/2 c. flour
- 1 c. sugar
- 4 teaspoon baking pwdr
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1 c. minced walnuts
- 1 c. diced sweet cherries
- 1 egg
- 1 1/4 c. lowfat milk
- 2 tbsp. oil
- In large bowl, mix well flour, sugar, baking pwdr, salt, walnuts and cherries.
- In small bowl with fork, beat egg, lowfat milk and oil till blended.
- Pour over flour mix; stir just till all ingredients are moistened.
- Turn into greased 9x5x3 inch loaf pan.
- Bake in 350 degree oven 60 to 70 min or possibly till pick inserted in center comes out clean.
- Cold in pan on rack 10 min.
- Turn out on rack; cold thoroughly.
- Makes 1 loaf.
