Polish Lasagne Recipe
- 1/2 c. rice
- 1 1/2 lbs. grnd beef
- 1/2 pound grnd pork
- 1 can tomato soup
- 1 med. head cabbage
- 2 Large eggs
- 1 med. onion
- 2 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1/4 teaspoon pepper
- 1 teaspoon caraway seed
- 1.
- Chop cabbage coarsely and boil in water approximately 10 min; drain.
- 2.
- Cook rice and cold.
- 3.
- Mix meat with Large eggs, onion, seasonings and 1/2 can tomato soup; add in rice and mix well.
- 4.
- Place 1/2 cabbage in lasagne pan.
- Cover cabbage with meat mix and then cover with remaining cabbage.
- 5.
- Dilute rest of tomato soup with an equal amount of water.
- Pour over all.
- Cover with foil and bake 1 1/4 to 1 1/2 hrs in 350 degree oven.
- (For thicker sauce, use Hunts tomato sauce rather than soup.)
