Camembert with Caramelised Onions

  1. Combine Camembert and Philly* in a food processor or blender until smooth.
  2. Spoon into serving dish and allow to chill.
  3. Heat the butter in a medium saucepan over low heat.
  4. Add the onions and saute until soft.
  5. Stir in the brown sugar and thyme and cook over low heat until the onions caramelize, about 15 minutes.
  6. Allow to cool.
  7. Serve Camembert paste on crusty bread topped with caramelised onions.
