Venison/Beef Stroganoff Recipe
- 2 lbs. round steak or possibly venison steak, cut into 1/4 inch strips
- 1 lg. onion, minced
- 1 pound mushrooms, sliced
- 3 tbsp. Worcestershire sauce
- Salt and pepper to taste
- 2 c. beef broth
- 1/2 - 1 c. lowfat sour cream
- Dredge meat in flour, salt and pepper mix.
- Brown in oil in heavy pan.
- Add in onion and brown slightly.
- Add in beef broth, cover and simmer till meat is tender.
- Remove cover and add in mushrooms.
- Let cook slowly to reduce liquid to half.
- Ten min prior to serving, add in lowfat sour cream and Worcestershire, but don't boil.
- Serve over rice or possibly home style noodles.
