Macaroni and Cheese

  1. cook elbow macaroni for 9 min
  2. drain, cover, and set aside
  3. preheat oven 350F
  4. in a medium sauce pan, melt butter or margarine, blend in flour, mustard, salt, and pepper
  5. Cook until mixture is smooth and bubbly; gradually add milk
  6. Cook an stir over medium heat until mixture boils; simmer 1 minute, stirring constantly
  7. Gradually mix in cheese.
  8. Stir over low heat until cheese is melted
  9. Add pasta; mix together lightly.
  10. Pour into 2-quart casserole
  11. Top with croutons and bake 25 minute
