Macaroni and Cheese
- 8 oz Mueller's elbow macaroni
- 1/4 cup butter or margarine
- 3 tbsp all purpose(wheat) flour
- 1/4 tbsp dry mustard
- 1/4 tsp salt
- 1/4 tsp pepper
- 2 cup milk
- 2 cup shredded sharp cheddar cheese
- 1 cup croutons or bread crumbs(wheat)
- cook elbow macaroni for 9 min
- drain, cover, and set aside
- preheat oven 350F
- in a medium sauce pan, melt butter or margarine, blend in flour, mustard, salt, and pepper
- Cook until mixture is smooth and bubbly; gradually add milk
- Cook an stir over medium heat until mixture boils; simmer 1 minute, stirring constantly
- Gradually mix in cheese.
- Stir over low heat until cheese is melted
- Add pasta; mix together lightly.
- Pour into 2-quart casserole
- Top with croutons and bake 25 minute
