Betty Carter's Double Pecan Pie Recipe

  2. Preheat oven to 400'F.

  4. Beat Large eggs till blended, add in sugar, syrup, salt, and beat thoroughly.
  5. Stir in butter.
  6. 3.
  7. Put 1 c. of pecans in each pie shell.
  8. Pour liquid mix equally over each.
  9. 4.
  10. Place pies on a cookie sheet on middle rack of oven, bake for 10 min, then lower temperature to 300'F.
  11. and continue to bake till filling is hard, about 30 min.
