Corn Pasta Bolognese

  1. Heat oil in a pan, saute the onion, garlic and bacon for 3-5 minutes.
  2. Add minced beef, cook over medium heat, until well browned.
  3. Stir in the water, salsa, port, mushrooms, tomato paste and basil.
  4. Stir until well combined and simmer gently for 12-15 minutes or until cooked.
  5. Place water, and pinch of salt into a saucepan, bring to the boil.
  6. Place pasta into the saucepan and cook until al dente.
  7. Drain the pasta, top with sauce and cheese.
  8. Serve.
