Cherry Tomato, Mushroom and Olive Pizza
- 1 each 100% Whole Wheat Pizza Dough, prepared (click to view recipe)
- 1 cup marinara sauce or tomato sauce
- 1 cup mozzarella cheese fresh, torn into pieces
- 8 each cherry tomatoes or as needed, slice into 1/4-inch thick
- 1/2 cup mushrooms white button or cremini, sliced, optional
- 1/4 cup kalamata olives pitted and sliced
- 1/2 each sweet red bell peppers slice into strips
- 1/4 each red onion halved and sliced
- 1 clove garlic thinly sliced
- 1 x salt and black pepper to taste
- 1 x olive oil for drizzling
- Preheat the oven to 450F (230C).
- Roll the pizza dough into 12-inch circles or use prepared pizza crust.
- Spread the marinara sauce or tomato sauce over the pizza dough.
- Sprinkle 3/4 of the cheese over the sauce.
- Top with cherry tomatoes, mushrooms, olives, bell peppers, red onion and garlic.
- Sprinkle a bit salt and black pepper, and drizzle a bit olive oil over the vegetables.
- Place remaining cheese on top.
- Bake for 10 to 12 minutes, or until the crust is golden and brown and the cheese melts.
- Cool for a few minutes, cut into wedges.
- Serve warm.
