Bavarian Strawberries

  1. Slice the strawberries and mix with the sugar.
  2. Let stand until the sugar dissolves.
  3. Sprinkle the gelatin over cold water.
  4. Let stand 5 minutes, then heat gently until the gelatin dissolves completely.
  5. Add the gelatin and lemon juice to the sliced berries.
  6. Fold in the whipped cream.
  7. Pour into a 1-quart mold or serving dish.
  8. Chill until set.
  9. Carefully unmold and serve.
