Mom's Swedish Pastry Recipe

  1. Blend 1 c. flour, 1/2 c. butter and 1 Tbsp.
  2. cool water with pastry blender.
  3. Divide into two 3 x 11 inch strips on an ungreased cookie sheet.
  4. Cook 1 c. water and 1/2 c. butter.
  5. Remove from heat and add in 1 c. flour and 3 Large eggs, one at a time, beating very well after adding each.
  6. Add in almond flavor, spoon on top of strips and bake 1 hour at 350 degrees.
  7. Frost with powdered sugar frosting with almond flavoring added.
  8. Slivered almonds can be added to top.
