Rustic Garlic Mashed Potatoes

  1. Wash potatoes and place in a large stock pot with water.
  2. Set burner to high and bring to a boil.
  3. Reduce temp and simmer for 10 minutes or until fork tender.
  4. To a small sauce pan, add butter, half and half and garlic.
  5. While stirring /whisking occasionally, melt butter on medium-low heat.
  6. (Avoid high temps to prevent the cream from separating.)
  7. Drain potatoes and transfer to a large bowl for mashing.
  8. Start mashing potatoes and add cream and seasoning.
  9. Continue mashing to desired consistency and stir to fully incorporate seasoning.
  10. Enjoy!
