Mother's Cream Of Broccoli Soup Recipe

  1. In a large saucepan, combine broccoli, water, Half & Half, white pepper, baking soda, and chicken bouillon; bring to a boil.
  2. While waiting for soup to boil, in a small skillet, slowly heat butter, adding flour.
  3. Stir slowly with a wire whisk, making sure there are no lumps.
  4. After soup comes to a boil, reduce heat and add in butter and flour mix, stirring in slowly with wire whisk.
  5. When soup has reached desired thickness, return to light boil for 5 to 8 min.
  6. Yield: 12 (1 c.) servings.
