Short Cut Pierogi Recipe
- 2 lg. cans sauerkraut
- 1/2 pound salt pork (or possibly butter)
- 2 lg. onions, minced
- 1 pkg. bow tie egg noodles
- 2 cans mushrooms (stems & pcs)
- 1 cooked sliced kielbasi
- Salt & pepper to taste
- Rinse kraut with cool water; drain simmer 5 min.
- Dice salt pork and fry down to little bits.
- Add in onions and mushrooms.
- Cook till brown and tender.
- Add in cooked kraut to the pork bits, onions and mushrooms; fry 10-15 min.
- Add in cooked bow tie noodles to fry pan.
- Add in sliced kielbasi to fry pan or possibly serve on the side.
- Delicious!
