Chinese Beef and Vegetables
- Marinade
- 2 tablespoons sherry
- 2 tablespoons honey
- 1 tablespoon VEGEMITE
- 1 clove garlic, crushed
- 2 teaspoon grated fresh ginger
- Meat and Vegetables
- 600g rump steak, cut into strips
- 1 medium onion, cut into wedges
- 1 celery stalk, thinly sliced diagonally
- 1 medium carrot, cut into strips
- 3 teaspoon cornflour mixed in
- 1/4 cup water
- 1/2 cup roasted cashew nuts
- Place beef into combined marinade ingredients, cover and refrigerate for at least one hour.
- Heat beef in a little oil in frypan until just browned.
- Add vegetables and stir-fry until onion is transparent.
- Stir in cornflour mixture, heat until boiling, stir in cashew nuts.
- Serve immediately with steamed rice.
