Microwave-Steamed Chinese-style Eggplants

  1. Mix the sauce ingredients together.
  2. Raw grated garlic has a rather harsh flavor, so I recommend using grated garlic from a jar or tube.
  3. Cut the eggplants in half lengthwise.
  4. Make some cuts in the skin side of the eggplant, then slice diagonally.
  5. Cover with plastic wrap and microwave until tender.
  6. Marinate the cooked eggplant in the sauce.
  7. Serve after marinating it for a while.
