Crispy and Delicious Cut-Out Cookies
- 240 grams White flour
- 150 grams Unsalted butter
- 100 grams Powdered sugar (or granulated sugar)
- 80 grams Almond powder
- 1 Egg
- 2 tsp Cocoa powder (or hot chocolate mix)
- Cut the butter into thin slices.
- Place the sliced butter in a bowl and bring to room temperature.
- Add powdered sugar to the butter and mix well.
- Add the egg and mix some more.
- Add sifted flour and almond powder, then mix some more.
- From here on, use a spatula.
- Divide the dough in half.
- Add the cocoa powder to one portion and mix.
- Wrap the dough in plastic wrap and let it sit in the fridge for at least 1 hour to settle.
- Dust bread flour on a board and roll out the dough.
- Bread flour is not listed.
- If you don't have it on hand, use regular white flour instead.
- Cut out your preferred shapes and bake your cookies in a preheated oven at 170C / 340F for about 13~16 minutes.
- Please adjust baking times accordingly!
- Brush beaten egg yolks (not listed) mixed with a small amount of water on top of the cookies for the glaze!
