Polenta with Chives

  1. In a saucepan, bring the water to a boil.
  2. Gradually whisk in the polenta; return to a boil.
  3. Cook over moderately low heat, stirring, until smooth, about 3 minutes.
  4. Remove from the heat.
  5. Whisk in the butter, season with salt and pepper, stir in the chives and serve.
