Cheesy Beef and Yuca Layered Casserole
- 1 lb. lean ground beef
- 1/4 cup KRAFT Zesty Italian Dressing
- 1 green pepper, chopped
- 1 can (8 oz.) tomato sauce
- 4 cups hot cooked yuca (cassava) cubes
- 1 cup KRAFT Shredded Cheddar Cheese
- Heat broiler.
- Brown meat in dressing in large skillet.
- Add peppers and tomato sauce; cook 10 min.
- or until peppers are tender and mixture is slightly thickened, stirring occasionally.
- Layer half the meat mixture in 9-inch square baking dish.
- Top with layers of half each of the yuca and cheese; repeat layers.
- Broil, 6 inches from heat, 1 to 2 min.
- or until cheese is melted.
