Spicy Slow-Cooker Saucy Swiss Steak
- 1/4 cup flour
- 1/2 tsp. onion powder
- 1/4 cup KRAFT Zesty Lime Vinaigrette Dressing
- 1 boneless beef chuck steak (1 lb.), cut into 4 pieces Safeway 1 lb For $6.99 thru 02/09
- 1/4 cup tomato paste
- 1 can (14-1/2 oz.) diced tomatoes and green chiles, undrained
- 1/2 cup beef broth
- 1 green pepper, chopped
- 2 cups hot cooked mashed potatoes
- 1/2 cup KRAFT Shredded Jalapeno Cheese
- Combine flour and onion powder; coat meat.
- Gently shake off excess flour and reserve.
- Heat dressing in large nonstick skillet on medium-high heat.
- Add meat; cook 2 to 3 min.
- on each side or until evenly browned on both sides.
- Remove from heat.
- Combine tomato paste, excess flour, tomatoes and broth in slow cooker.
- Add meat and peppers; cover with lid.
- Cook on LOW 8 to 10 hours (or on HIGH 3 to 4 hours).
- Serve over potatoes; top with cheese.
